For face painting children, if the children can sit still, and if they all selected from our book of premium designs, an artist can do 6 to 8 faces per hour. For selections from our book of standard but beautiful designs, it will be 10 to 12 faces per hour.

Our artists will, of course, work as quickly as they can. They minimize the squirmy factor by asking each child who their favorite princess or superhero is. You would be amazed at the calming smiles we get by being friendly and asking a simple question or two.

Not necessarily. A small design that has a lot of colors and intricate detail, like Ariel, takes a lot more time than larger designs like superheros, butterflies, or princess tiaras.

So if you wish to maximize the number of faces painted per hour, we can limit your guests to the book containing standard cheek and hand design options along with the standard face design options. Don't worry, your guests will love the all the beautiful and fun artwork options in our book of standard designs!

Yes, in most cases. It helps if your guest has a photo of their special design request.

However, if you allow your guests to ask for special designs, please be aware that it may result in fewer faces being painted in the allotted time.

Yes, if your goal is to provide some kind of face painting for a very large number of children and teens, then we can do simple shapes like stars, hearts, rainbows, and more. With glitter, of course!

However, if you want to make your event extra special, please consider allowing your guests to select from either our complex design book or our standard design book. Either way, you'll be amazed at how the children will roar like a lion, flutter around like a butterfly, or act like their favorite princess or superhero. So cute and photogenic!

Yes, we require a minimum of 2 hours per artist per event. If your event is only 90 minutes, we'll have our artist arrive 30 minutes early in order to paint the guest of honor and anyone else you request.

If your event is on a Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday and not on a holiday, mention our 10% weekday discount. Non-profits get an everyday 10% discount.

No. We provide every client with a written quote for approval before the event.

Our hourly rate includes the artist, booking administration costs, supplies, insurance, and 20 mile driving time and fuel costs.

For crafting projects, there will be a small charge for the actual craft product you select.

In almost all cases, our artists would be more than happy to stay beyond the allotted time. The overtime rate would be $100 per HALF hour per artist.

For each face painter, they'll need a table for the face paints and two chairs.

For the balloon artist, a small table and chair would be helpful.

For craft projects, it depends on the type of project you select. We'll provide details.

We use Snazaroo face paints imported from England. They are hypo-allergenic and will stay bright and beautiful for at least a couple hours, especially if kept dry and not touched. When ready, easily wash off with soap and water. After your event, you'll surely have some aspiring face painters in your group. Amazon sells a great Snazaroo starter kit.

We recommend that you give tickets or wrist bands to guests who are part of your group. You'd be surprised at how many kids, teens and adults from outside your group will try to jump in on the fun and get their faces painted.  You can have your event name or logo imprinted on these inexpensive wristbands on Amazon. 

No, that wouldn't be fun at all. We will have a sign-up sheet where guests can select an estimated time slot. If the guest returns slightly before or after their estimated time slot, we'll happily squeeze them in.

No. We have the best face painters in Chicagoland, but they haven't quite perfected the art of doing balloon animals. We do, however, have balloon artists for the same hourly rates as the face painters.

If desired, our face painters can switch from doing face painting to doing crafts.

If you would like your artist to come dressed up, there is an additional charge of $75. Or buy your own adult outfits on Amazon like this clown costume or this Cinderella costume. 

However, we recommend that you choose a character other than a clown. Children are often afraid of clowns. Just one child screaming in fear at the clown will put a big damper on the festivities at your kids party.
