11 Yr Olds Enter Pop Idol Face Painting Contest

Parties revolving around pop music idols seem to be a very popular with teens and pre-teens.   A great example of this was at Adelle’s 11th birthday party in Chicago, where I was hired to provide face painting services.

Katy Perry, one of Adelle’s favorite pop music idols, was holding a contest on Facebook for the best fan face paint and Adelle and all her friends wanted to enter.  There was alot of excitement in the air as the girls talked about what it would be like to win the contest and meet Katy Perry.

The girls had lots of design ideas.  I certainly did not want to dampen their excitement by pushing my own design ideas on them.  So I listened carefully and got started, offering a few tweaks to their facepainting ideas.  Let’s just say we came up with some INCREDIBLE designs!  Here are some of my favorites:
